Li Hui Got Sick | Chinese Listening Practice (HSK1)

昨天天气非常热。李辉放学回到家就打开了空调,还喝了很多冰水。晚上他的头开始疼,鼻子和嗓子也不舒服。李辉给他的老师打了电话,说他生病了,明天不能去学校了。今天早上李辉还是觉得不舒服。他的爸爸带他去医院看了病。医生说没事儿,只是感冒,吃药休息两天就好了。

Zuótiān tiānqì fēicháng rè. Lǐ Huī fàngxué huídào jiā jiù dǎkāi le kōngtiáo, hái hē le hěn duō bīngshuǐ. Wǎnshang tā de tóu kāishǐ téng, bízi hé sǎngzi yě bù shūfu. Lǐ Huī gěi tā de lǎoshī dǎ le diànhuà, shuō tā shēngbìng le, míngtiān bù néng qù xuéxiào le. Jīntiān zǎoshang Lǐ Huī háishi juéde bù shūfu. Tā de bàba dài tā qù yīyuàn kàn le bìng. Yīshēng shuō méishìr, zhǐshì gǎnmào, chīyào xiūxi liǎng tiān jiù hǎo le.

The Translation

It was very hot yesterday. Li Hui turned on the air conditioner right after coming home from school and drank a lot of iced water. In the evening his head started to hurt and his nose and throat were uncomfortable. Li Hui called his teacher and said he was sick and couldn’t go to school tomorrow. This morning Li Hui still felt uncomfortable. His father took him to the hospital. The doctor said it was okay, just a cold, and he just needs to take medicine and rest for two days and he would be fine.
